This is the framework program of cooperation in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy for the period up to 2020 «atom-CIS cooperation» and the action plan for its implementation. Experts have prepared new documents regulating the work of the Commission in the period up to 2025 and in the long term up to 2030» Mikhail Mikhadyuk said.

The participants of the meeting will visit the Belarusian nuclear power plant on November 21. According to him, one of the most important tasks is the ratification of the CIS agreement on preparedness for and response to nuclear emergencies, as well as assistance in the event of nuclear accidents and incidents. The first three countries to ratify the document were Belarus, Russia and Uzbekistan.

«Other topics on the agenda are the approval of the action plan for the implementation of the agreement. This involves the development of a warning system, the coordination of technical documents, the parameters of the response teams, That is, some very practical aspects» he added.

The session will examine ten issues. They will summarize the implementation of the Protocol agreements of the previous session, discuss new documents on cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy for the next decade, prepared by the international working groups of the Commission, as well as consider the implementation of joint projects.
