"In the period from March 20 to October 29, the territorial centers of social services received and fulfilled almost 31.5 thousand requests for home delivery of food, basic necessities and medicines. This assistance is provided by social workers and volunteers who are attracted by all 146 territorial social service centers located in each district of the country, " the Ministry of labor noted.

The Department also drew attention to the active development of goods delivery services by retail chains. In this regard, the territorial centers will, if necessary, help their wards in placing orders for such services.

For assistance, you should contact the shopping Centers at your place of residence, the Belarusian red cross society and the Belarusian Republican youth Union. Contact information can also be found on the websites of local authorities.

"There are about 844 thousand people living alone and disabled in Belarus today. Almost 155 thousand of them have no relatives. So we have a large front of work, but it is more important than ever to take care of this category in these conditions," the Ministry said.
