Safety Days at NPP Information Center
On February 28, the information center was visited by pupils of the 10th grades of Gymnasium No. 1 of Ostrovets.
The pupils learned about the safety of the project "AES-2006", which builds Belarusian nuclear power plant and its advantages, compared with previous generation NPP projects. On the example of a fuel assembly layout, pupils got an idea of what the fuel for a nuclear power plant looks like. And the pattern of the reactor building, in which the pre-stressed containment pre-stressing system is shown, demonstrates the characteristic differences of the “three +” generation NPPs.
The information center of Belarusian nuclear power plant is located in Ostrovets, Vostochnaya st., 18A. The information center of the NPP is open on weekdays from 8.00 to 17.00, on Friday and working days from 8.00 to 16.00 with a lunch break from 13.00 to 13.48. Access to the center is free.
